Veteran commercial banker Will Aiken has joined the Board of Directors of Certified Development Corporation (CDC) of South Carolina.
Aiken has been Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Specialty Businesses at First Bank (FBNC) since August 2025. He oversees specialty lending and business units for First Bancorp.
Aiken has more than 30 years of experience in commercial banking, including progressively responsible positions in credit, risk management, and specialty lending.
Aiken is a Greenville resident and 1996 graduate of Clemson University with a degree in finance. Prior to First Bank, he served as Chief Risk Officer at Southern First Bank and Chief Commercial Credit Officer at South State Bank.
“I’m honored to join the CDC Board and support its work helping small businesses access the capital they need to grow,” said Aiken. “I look forward to bringing my experience in commercial banking and specialty lending to this new role as we continue to create opportunities for businesses across South Carolina.”
“Will’s extensive experience in all aspects of commercial lending will serve our mission and the South Carolina business community well. We’re excited he’s joined the CDC Board,” said Peter G. Shand, President and CEO of BDC.
