Ashely Teasdel, Director of the Business Services Division of the South Carolina Department of Commerce, has been elected to the Board of Directors of Certified Development Corporation (CDC) of SC.
Teasdel joined Commerce in 2015 after nearly seven years of small business banking with BB&T. She now focuses on small business development, existing industry support, supplier outreach and recycling market development for the state.
Teasdel holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and management from Charleston Southern University and a master's degree in business administration from Southern Wesleyan University. She is a graduate of the BB&T Leadership Development Institute in Winston-Salem, NC, and the South Carolina Economic Development Institute.

BDC is a non-bank commercial lending company specializing in the U.S. Small Business Administration's 7(a) loan guaranty program and the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) and is associated with CDC.
